1. So that’s where I inherited my bleeding heart.

2. Contrary to popular belief, the state slogan isn’t really meant to sound so perv-y. Instead, it’s about how we are a people that demand results! It was born out of a quote by Congressman Vandiver:

“I come from a state that raises corn and cotton and cockleburs and Democrats, and frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. I am from Missouri. You have got to show me.”
