J and I invited a couple of friends over for tacos, and we all sat on our front porch to greet the trick or treaters. Our street was pretty quiet, so we did a bit of coaxing to draw the (small) crowds down to our end of the street. It’s really the only day of the year that four adults can lure children to a house with candy without cause for alarm.
90% of our visitors were princesses, ninjas, or spiderman. The evening’s favorite was a young girl dressed as “Occupy Halloween.” When we laughed, her little sister cried, “EVERYONE IS LAUGHING AT HER AND I DON’T GET IT!”. No one really does, little sister.
Second place definitely went to the cowgirl who dressed her dog up as a cow.
